Virgil Iantu
We know him for his tasteful humour, but the public recognises him as one of the most representative people in television. Being part of such productions as Who wants to be a millionaire? and Kids Say the Darndest Things has brought him recognition from the industry and admiration from the general public. Very few people know, however, that Virgil has a degree in music and that he started his career as part of the Madrigal Chamber Choir, and presently he sings alongside the Bucharest Jazz Orchestra, together with whom he put out an album - Ieri si Azi/Today & Yesterday.
His ease in working with children and parents alike, have determined Virgil to put together a training programme. Children say - a course like child‘s play, where the young ones learn that emotions are good if we know how to deal with them… even when our parents are there with us. And the project has recently grown into Virgil's firts children's book - Copiii spun... emotiiile sunt bune (Children Say... Emotions are good). For 5 season he was the host of the hit TV show Castiga Romania/Romania Wins at TVR2. A 100% romanian format show with trivia about our country.
